surface rust inside the steel tube, yerp completely normal for Brompton. it wont do anything harmful if it stays on the surface.

A couple of days ago after unfolding bike before a ride, rust color and water fell on the parking lot. Puzzled as to where it came from. ‘Water bottle? Something from the saddle? Hmm… gotta go’. After ride I saw the bung on the ground and that’s when it clicked that the it must’ve fallen out releasing the trapped water from when I rode into a thunderstorm for a good 30-45 minutes last month.
Will be cleaning inside the metal tube by pulling through a string tied to a soft rolled towel.
