Bought this bike used with the Masi Brooks knock off saddle. Looks brand new because the previous owner used a gel saddle cover. I want to ditch the cover but the saddle is hard as a rock.
I’ve owned lots of Brooks saddles and brand new they were nothing like this Masi.
Anyone get one of these to break in? What do you do? Pound it with a hammer?

Even Brooks saddle need to be moistened with a solution so they are easier to break in. If that’s an old saddle, it probably stiffened and needs some help.
Would give a hand crème (e.g. Nivea) a shoot.
