Found one specimen in the BB cup and the other was up in the frame. I counted 24 bearings in total but there’s actually only room for 11 each side of the BB so that’s 2 too many, crammed in too tight.

I just let out an audible “unnhhg.” I’ve seen some nasty balls working in a metallurgical lab but dang, that is some rough looking specimens. How what were you feeling when the cranks spun?
