  1. Favorite comment of the day was a surly bro who went by me and said ” that puddle was a****** deep” and he was not exaggerating.

  2. I didn’t think it was possible to go through pads so fast… Fresh pads before the race were nearly gone by Big M and I could replace them. I started riding vary conservatively 10 miles in to the segment after multiple people near me dropped out because of their brakes, I was so confident until I checked and noticed the fronts were so thin already. Kudos to everyone still riding after their brakes quit. Going to bring pads with me next time.

  3. It was like the Wild West taking boots off a dead coylwboy. At Big M there was a TON of scavenging break pads off riders who had pulled out or had some spare laying around.

Bike karma must be a thing because I gave a guy some almost gone sram pads so he could finish only to have my buddies come in and found some one that had some almost but not all the way shot shimano pads.

Pro tip: always keep those pads that are close to gone but not all the way, because they are easy to swap in for a situation like this and not have to mess with the calipers!
