Just wondering if this is still useable or not, I have another tire thankfully so it's not the end of the world if not but I do like this one a lot so I'd prefer to keep it on
Those tires are in need of replacing even without the metal stuck in them.

You’d have to patch the tire from the inside and get a new inner tube but yes the tire is still usable

should be fine with a new tube

Yep, slime the tube, maybe toss a tire liner in and you’re good. Those tires don’t look to have a lot of life left

You could also put some sort of card under the spot if you don’t wanna go through the hassle of patching it. I’ve done it before when I got a nail in my tire and it was perfectly fine. Just make sure there isn’t any other things inside that could pop the tire

If you must reuse the tire, remove the metal and replace the tube. A “hack” I saw commonly was a dollar bill folded up placed between the tube and tire and the point of puncture. Is it the best option? Probably not but seemed to work well enough in a pinch.

Seems like it’s just gna live as a backup tire, I have a glh lying around that I’ll use instead. Good to know I could get more life out of it if I rly need to. Thanks y’all!

100% fine. I recommend putting a tube patch on the inside of the tire where the hole is, so that dirt/gravel doesn’t make its way in the hole and puncture a new tube

Should be fine. They’re in bad shape but tires are consumable in bmx. Run em till they thread

New tube, you’ll be golden. They have patch kits to go inside the tire, either way you’ll be fine.
The only way the next tube will pop is if a rock or metal piece gets lodged inside the tiny hole, and those chances are slim but never zero.
