Is a free coaster supposed to do this, it’s a fit free coaster but is this normal or is it like a planetary or something or is it not even a free coaster it’s just a hub
No it isn’t supposed to do that. That’s the point of a free coaster. How tight is your chain?

I think the axle will stay disengaged meaning you can roll backwards as long as you keep your feet still. Once you are ready you just press down and engage the coaster part . Freecoasters are a trick to learn so basically once you start pedaling is goes back to being disengaged idk if that makes sense but that’s just slack you can look has to adjust it make it tighter or more slack watch YouTube

You need to adjust the slack in your freecoaster to get it to disengage when you want to fakie. If you pedal forward it’s engages the hub shell and if your hun is adjusted tight I will engage when you go fakie. I don’t know freecoaster a that well because I ride cassette but I’m pretty sure even cheap stock free coasters are adjustable. In the video you pulled the pedal up when engaged the coaster, now that it’s engaged you need to pedal back a little bit to get it to disengage.
