Due to work commitments and two young children, I stopped riding regularly for close to 4-5 years and recently wants to start again. These are Conti GP4000S II on my bikes and stored indoors. They are almost brand new cos I changed/mounted these tires right before I stopped. I pumped them up and noticed these cracks. They are still supple somewhat and not crumbling.
As they are rather expensive where I am, I hope to be able to still get some use out of them. They are 700c on my steel frame racers.
Any opions if it's a risk to ride them or should I change them out.

Thanks for any opinions and comments

  1. Dude… tires have a shelf life even when stored indoors. These have been discontinued for several years now so this is not surprising.

Do Not ride those. You will injure yourself.
