Have I cut it too short? (FYI it's a hardtail 12 speed, nx eagle groupset with powerlink)
New GX chain onto a worn NX, direct replacement for NX chain that was at 0.5mm wear. I measured it up against the old chain, but maybe I cut 1 link short, hard to remember what I was doing but I was assured at first.
It makes a bit of noise in the largest cog but that could be the uneven wear (chain/cassette).
I also checked the B screw limit as well and that was still spot on after fitting so the derailleur is in the right place.
I hear about checking for an s-bends, I struggle to see an 'S' here….

did you follow the applicable service manuals in regards to how to properly size the chain? it’ll also cover other adjustments such as B-adjust screw, high limit, low limit, and indexing.
