Cycling to Ruperra castle and countryside on a lovely summers day

Cycling from Cardiff through the hills to Rupert castle and Caerphilly mountain then finishing up in Cardiff castle grounds on a lovely summers day.

[Music] just come across this amazing Building look at the milon windows there and down there your chimney breast there’s a window chimney around the side so must have been some old house right in the MD of field [Music] a that buildings behind me I was probably a bit overly paranoid but I left my bike there and I was one worry but I didn’t want to go in too close as well cuz it’s all overgrown I thought oh they could be snakes it’s not I’m bothered about snakes but I am bothered about being bit when I’m uh in the middle of nowhere oh look at that [Music] look I just passed rera Castle which you saw in the distance I came through past this house and there was a massive Reser on the ground unfortunately my gopro’s on my bike there so I was able to press record so I think I got it and there these two lovely old old oak trees nobody ever comes here it’s really quiet and it was just flying around so I think I got [Music] it I’m in a lovely adelic little setting I’ll just let you know just over there is Cardiff that mclu PB that I just went past is down there there and this St look at this old UT tree here uh this is St James’s um Church amazing old building and I cycle past you know have driven past here many times but never stopped to have a look and yet it’s a fantastic building and look that was probably the old rectory lovely to just stop and it’s such a glorious day as well [Music] behind me is one of the hills looking over cilli I was going to cycle up there but it’s really really warm I don’t have a lot of water that’s a good excuse but also they look like they’re hiking paths rather than cycling so could end up going right down there and getting myself in a spot to bother but it looks like on that top there is going to be lovely views [Music] well that was no joke I’ve just come all the way up there cilly Mountain but it’s got a trail there was a left and the right Fork so I decided to take the left thinking it looked a bit more of a foot path I I thought the other one was a fire Road I followed it and it was a nightmare it was so tight and it was just basically a stream cut out through the stone so I walked up most of there but in the end there was a tree in the front and it got just too awkward so I had to double back come all the way up the mountain now I’m on the top and heading down the city but at least for a while I’m on the [Music] road I’ve just cycled now through the castle grounds through ponana Fields as you see I’m in the center now the castle everyone’s out cuz it’s a lovely sunny day as you can see so I’m just going to end it here now hope you enjoyed this I’m going to head off home many thanks
