I purchased two tires today from my local bike shop. I was told one of them (pictured) was installed on a wheel for a moment to see if it fit on a persons frame and that the person ended up not wanting it. The other was brand new. The guy at the bike shop gave me a small discount on the used tire which was nice. I just installed the gently used tire on the rear wheel of my bike. After inflating it (to the tires recommended PSI) I realize that there are two tiny punctures. One in the sidewall 🤦♂️. Should I ask for a replacement? I firmly believe I installed the tire correctly. The other (unused) tire has no issues.

I would not feel comfortable riding on that. Get a refund or replacement.
Yeah, take it back. I’d give them the benefit of the doubt and say they didn’t know the tire was damaged when they sold it to you, but that doesn’t look usable to me. Also there’s no way you could have caused that damage yourself installing the tire unless you used sharp tools or did something crazy. This is on the shop.
No way I’d ride that!
Give it back to the shop.
