I am going to see how workable multi-mode commuting will be with my current folding bike (A Montage Navigator), but I suspect the grip pegs on my current pedals will just eat into my work shoes like it did with my old cycling shoes.

I am thinking about replacing them with detachable pedals because it might make getting it in and out of my trunk just that little bit easier.

I originally got the idea when I bumped into these, which are absolutely flat and probably plenty grippy (but look really chunky): https://www.modernbike.com/mks-panamax-ezy-superior-black-grey

But there's also something like this which I don't think would be an issue either though surface area for your foot contact seems tiny: https://www.modernbike.com/mks-promenade-ezy-9-16-black-pedals

Does anyone have experience with detachable pedals in general, and does anyone have some they could recommend?
