I bought this bike from a Polish company, getting replacement brakes from Europe is difficult. Can I replace the brakes with any caliper type brakes? If so, any recommendations?

The bike is from cremecycles.com. The current brakes on there are from Saccon and have 21/73 written on them. They were working fine until a tiny black plastic spacer fell out of the front brake during a move. I cannot find a replacement for that tiny spacer anywhere, and getting the same brakes from Europe is expensive for me, takes a long time, and most reputable websites do not ship to the US.
I don’t have any bike knowledge, so I’m just wondering if it’s even possible to replace the brakes with a different one. I’m hoping I can manage this myself without having to bring it to a shop, so any recommendations or tips would be so appreciated. ♡

The back brake may have an identical spacer. See if it does and take a pic. I have a feeling you could use something else to replace it. I can’t recommend a brand but I imagine you should be able to find another that fits. Any bike shop should be able to find something for you.You can also contact the company here https://www.saccon.it/index.php?area=2&menu=17&page=133&lingua=1&CTLGIDC=7&CTLGIDP=9

Sounds like you just need a new washer.

I can’t see any photo there. Never mind.

When you say l-shaped, do you mean it’s like a round washer with a section bent over at a right- angle to the rest?
