I lived abroad the last decade and moved back to Chicago post covid. I was running a stock 2012 Mercier Kilo TT Chrome (Stripper) fixie in college which sat in a storage shed for 10 years. Spent the last two months to replace the handlebars/ brakes / tape / seat / lights / chain / peddles / clips / fender / wheels / tires / as well as switching from fixed to single speed hub (adding a rear brake, thus the tube cover).
Feels good to ride the bike I couldn't afford in college! Also have a U-lock + cable, as well as a helmet. Thankfully my office has a bike garage I can lock her up in.

Great job!! Certainly won’t get lost in a crowd of fixies.
Cool, another free wheel single speed on the fixed gear sub
