I was planning to upgrade my current fork to a suspension fork. My fatbike size is Small with 27.5 wheel, i feel kinda stiff on trail and on the road.
Do you guys have any recommendations for the suspension fork.
I have this brand in my mind:
Manitou Mastodon Pro EXT, 100mm, 15x150mm or does the Manitou Pro 2024 is all around? No EXT, just Pro and Comp.
Thank you so much.

The Mastodon Pro and Comp are two different forks, the Pro is more expensive and has a damper with more adjustability (it’s also slightly lighter). I have a Gen 2 Comp, and I love it.
The EXT or STD is in relation to the max tire size the fork can take for Gen 2 and older Mastodons – STD goes up to 3.8″, and EXT can go to 27.5×4.5″
For the 2024 Gen 3 version, they redesigned it so that there’s only one version of the fork and it can take up to a 27.5×4.5″ tire.
I have the same bike, but in XL. I went with the Mastadon Pro EXT 100mm shortly after buying it. It definitely helps when riding in the non-winter months. The weight is noticeable but it’s a good trade-off in my opinion.
