All I see is superficial cracking on the surface of the sidewall. By itself, that is not a problem.
Are there any bulges, or exposed cord? The black part of the tyre is resistant to UV, so will not suffer the same damage.
Can you brake properly? How thick is the rubber?

Definitely going to kill you, do not turn your back to them, don’t be alone in the same place with them and certainly don’t accept any food or drink from them. And whatever you do, do not follow them into a cellar to check out a cask of Amontillado.
