Just picked up a new build from the bike shop and when I got home I found the drivetrain sounds terrible. Mainly while pedaling but can also hear the same noise when back pedalling. The bike shop reckons it's the new chain and sprocket and that the sound should go away after being ridden. I went for a decent ride on it but no change in the sound yet. Feeling a little bummed out at the moment 😅
Parts are Eclat Tibia cranks and Eclat bottom bracket, Eclat 4 stroke chain (half link style) and a tempered abyss 30T sprocket.
What do the Reddit experts reckon?

Are you running a rear hub guard? Is it rubbing?
That’s the chain, your drivechain alignment is most likely off.
