Hey everybody! I need some clarification on parts or mechanic stuff for my seat. My seat will not remain in position on the clasp? retainer? Whatever we call the part you tighten the seat to the seat post with. The teeth on the collar have worn down somehow.
I want to replace the worn parts obviously but I don’t know how to look the part up. Do I need to replace the whole seat post or can I purchase just the worn components?

I would replace the whole seat post. Trying to find those parts is going to be a nightmare even of they exist.
I had the same issue. Those single bolt seatposts all seem to be designed the same, so I went with a 2 bolt system. One without the groove lines, much better and I can angle my seat easier.
New seatpost is the best bet…..but if you’re a sucker for punishment, I had minor success in regrooving these lines. If you have a Dremel, or a file with a sharp edge you can have a go at it. It will never be like it was, but it can bide you time…..and waste some time lol
