So I hit a bit bump which loosened some spokes and gave the wheel a really bad wobble, I re-tightened them, but there's obviously some wibble left.

I'm concerned that if I keep tightening and loosening spokes I'll just goof it up more, so in the meanwhile, is this amount of wobble fine to ride on? I'm not concerned about if I lose a watt or two of power, just if it's safe and fine to ride the rail trail with

Is this wheel true enough?

Take a pencil and hold it against the rims and one of the stays. You cannot tell from this video if the wobble is because of the wheel, or because of how the tyre is set.

  2. Go to a shop and let them true the wheel. that usualy costs around 15-20€, If you bring them only the wheel, not the entire Bike.

  3. Trueing a wheel is not difficult watch a YT video. That’s way out of tolerance for me but if you’re hitting the trails constantly it’s not a big issue at the moment..

  4. It’s enough to ride on a few times but you should probably get that professionally trued in the near future.

  5. Is it the rim or the tire that’s out of true. Hold your finger next to the rim while it’s spinning and confirm.
