Been a long time since I had a bike, used to do a lot of mountain biking as a kid/teen as I grew up in northern BC with tons of awesome trails. Flash forward a couple decades and I’m overweight, out of shape and on the prairies. But happy to be on a bike again. It’s a good works that kills my muscles and not my knees. Which is appreciated.

Also it’s a crash course on bike maintenance which is fun, living in a small city with no bike shop, having to order this in and put it together myself was fun. Actually looking forward to learning how to upgrade and maintain it as well. No idea what I’ll do to it first outside maybe bottle cages? Then I have no clue lol.

Nice ride. Enjoy it, it’s a little more work but that will help you get strong and fit if you want that. Only mods I’ve made are mud PNW mud shovel guards (it gets muddy here) and a dropper seat post, but I don’t really use the dropper much, we don’t get “elevation” here often.
