I plan on building up an xbike: Retro mtb frame, big supple 26“ tires, maybe somewhat modern drivetrain or singlespeed. I wanna use it for cruising, jibbing and overall recreational exploring. I’m not quite sure what frame to use. These to would match my vibe I guess so I’d like to hear your opinion. Wanna have a playful feel, somewhat bmx like.

At 6’1 I kind of know what to look for in frame sizes, and that Bridgestone is wayyy too small. The Cannondale will probably be alright and imho is also the cooler frame. A modern drivetrain wouldn’t look out of place like it would on the Bridgestone.
I always liked those cannondales but I’d prolly opt for steel
I’ve had more than one mechanic tell me that those cantilever dropouts on the Cannondale were known for cracking. I also prefer steel and would choose the Bridgestone.
Those rear drops on the cannondale are said to be pretty weak as well
This is just one man’s opinion but I don’t think either of those frames are going to be right for you. At 6’1 the Bridgestone is going to be wayyy too small and the Cannondale is, well, a Cannondale. They earned the nickname “crack’ n fail” for a reason. Their early stuff was prone to cracking around the welds and those dropouts do not look confidence inspiring. Maybe not what you want to hear but I’d shop around a bit more.
Both super cool frames. At 6’1” I think the Bridgestone will be too small. The Cdale will fit better but still may be a bit on the small side. The color is super cool on the Cdale.
