right here I’ve got the hios B10 and I’ll be honest there’s only one reason I agreed to do a video on this bike I thought it looked cool the thing that I’d never seen before or stood out to me this saddle Design One the way it looks like some sort of alligator skin caught my attention and two the fact that this bike doesn’t actually have rear suspension but it has a shock absorber under the saddle I thought that was really interesting and I wanted to give it a try there are some things about the bike that I like and there are some things that I don’t let’s start out with two things I think are cool or good about this bike one they delivered on the looks it’s got the classic retro headlight it’s got the fake tank up here here which actually looks really good the battery is in fact tucked inside there there’s our charge port right there it’s a 48v 12 1/2 amp hour battery so nothing too terribly big the saddle does look cool like it does in the photos and they have this I don’t know if it’s real leather or not probably not but they have this leather looking bag right here which doesn’t have a ton of room but it is more than enough to put the charger in which I find really handy tires they chose go well with the overall Vibe of the bike sometimes you can’t tell by photos of a bike if the quality is going to be as good in person and from a fit and finish perspective it looks pretty good to me so it’s not just looks you know the tank actually does look good in person the welds on the frame do look pretty decent the mag wheels although heavier really go with the look of the bike as well although it’s a little hard to read in direct sunlight it’s in color so the reason I agreed to do the review was I liked the way it looked in the photos in person it looks just as good so I guess we could just leave the review done there I’m just kidding of course we can’t do that I am I don’t know if I want to say I’m too nerdy for that or if I’m just too into ebikes for that but I can’t make a video about a bike and only talk about the looks I have to talk about the bike stuff the brakes the motor the power the battery the components I guess I just have to geek out a little bit on the bike stuff and tell you if you’re getting a good value which leads to the number two thing that I do like about this bike and that is the price it’s only $9.99 I know the looks might be a little polarizing but price being under $1,000 is something I think everyone can agree is a good thing that is if the bike delivers on the promised specifications and it doesn’t quite get there one of those things I can prove to you on the dyno they advertise this motor as a 1,000 watt and there’s nothing on the motor itself that tells me who makes it or what the wattage is but there is a sticker right here on the bike that tells us the model this is the hyos B10 the rated power right there says 1,000 Watts Max load 330 lb the frame looks pretty sturdy I don’t know if it would support that much weight I think it’s made out of steel though so it very well may battery capacity as I said 48 volt 12 1 12 amp hours they do have a UL sticker on here I don’t know what UL specification that sticker is for I don’t know if that’s for the overall bike I don’t know if it’s for just one of the components it doesn’t say so I don’t know if this thing would be UL approved per the requirements some states and local places are looking for but it does have a a UL sticker for something on here but having ridden a lot of ebikes and knowing what power feels like it seemed like the power was lacking a little bit for something called 1,000 Watts so let’s jump right into the Dino Run and see what I got okay the bike is on crank the power up to the max I’m think thinking the Tire Choice is going to make it do well because it’s nice and smooth the wheel choice however is going to make it a little less torky because of the weight basically as long as this thing does 1,000 Watts it’s doing what is advertised let’s see if it gets there in 3 two 1 [Music] I don’t know didn’t seem like it quite got there let’s give it another run just to be sure actual power output at Peak power this is a fully charged battery was 782 watts and 22 lound feet of torque 22.0 three that’s going to put it right between the two ride oneup bikes on both torque and wattage so it does put it above the rad power bikes but a little bit less than average for what we see for even 750 watt bikes definitely less than the quote unquote th000 watt bikes so as you can see this bike really Compares well to a typical 750 watt and I feel like if they advertised it as a 750 watt bike that would be just is fine but 1,000 Watts it just doesn’t do it now there are some things that you can expect when you’re paying less than 1,000 bucks yes it’s going to have disc brakes but they’re going to be mechanical you’re not going to get hydraulic brakes on a bike that’s at this price the Triple Tree Fork isn’t going to have any adjustments no surprise there either and it’s going to have a Cadence Sensor not a torque sensor none of those things are bad things for the price of $9.99 that’s exactly what I would expect you to get so we know the bike is a little bit underpowered how about the top speed this thing is not limited when I put it on the dyno it went well over 20 M an hour had no problem with that pretty windy so I’m going to actually put the wind at my back if anything that’s going to help us and see what can we get on top speed pedal assist all the way up to five that does make a difference on the top speed of this bike come [Music] on still accelerating and I think that’s got to be it right there yeah that’s it so it’s not bad I don’t want you to think that it is a slow ebike it performs reasonably well it just not a th000 watt [Music] ebike but since I’ve got a 10° Hill I might as well take it up that see how much it slows down that kind of gives us a ballpark of what it can do vers other bikes I’m expecting that it’s going to slow down to like 5 miles an hour let’s see what it does got to go down the hill first and back up and because this thing doesn’t have the greatest of torque I’m going to let it do a little bit of a run up see if we can get up to speed a little before we get to the hill just doesn’t have a lot of oomph on the low end oh boy so I don’t have the speed up in front of me my speedometers and kilometers an hour I haven’t changed it that felt like it might have dropped under 5 miles an hour oh and there’s the pothole unfortunately I do have to say that this is one of the most uncomfortable bikes I’ve ever ridden I’m going to Pedal backwards so I don’t take off with the assist as you can see here my knees hit these sharp points on the side of the tank every time I pedal so can you pedal it technically yes but not without spreading your legs out wide and getting kind of awkward I have found myself spending a lot of time standing up on this bike because I’m not pedaling it so why not change into a different position get a little more comfortable but the most uncomfortable thing about this bike has got to be this saddle and it it really is a shame because I think it looks really cool it has a lot of potential I’ve had a lot of people sit on this to get their opinion and they all said the same thing like they just sit on it and immediately they comment on how hard the saddle is I also don’t feel like I can feel this moving okay we’re aimed directly at the shock absorber if this thing is going to move at all you should be able to see it that’s me pushing down on it is it doing anything now the front shock doesn’t feel bad it actually soaks up some bumps it feels kind of more like a spring than a good shock absorber I still think for 99 $99 is a pretty decent bike and it does have a pretty decent look to it I wouldn’t mind toodling around on this thing on a nice smooth Street taking it to a car show or something or a motorcycle show where people might enjoy the look so my conclusion is the quality is good the price is good the looks are good the comfort is subar and I do thank them for sending this bike out to
