packing World hey folks how you doing it’s Richard from bik packing adventures and welcome to the channel once again this is the river withm it is very high again after all the snow melt and and the rainfall over the last couple days I’m surprised how high it is again anyway in today’s ride I’m going to be riding 200 km running down all the way to well beyond and Corby Glenn wam uh Windmill and then well I’ve told you weather way for it about4 9 in the morning it’s not particularly early start got the van sleeping in it as well after this R there was no need to be leaving Mega really to be honest because uh just get back early and sleep in the van okay here’s the uh first obstacle coming up now it’s [Music] fine glorious now is it Ice Candy seeve looks beautiful and it is beautiful it’s a it’s a little bit warm a little bit cold this kind feels like an early spring day of course we’re middle of well not even the middle of Feb middle of winter is what I’m trying to say few more weeks still till the cops go forward so ping I’ll pop up on the screen how many odex points I’ve got so far I’m going to be doing this throughout 2024 my videos because I’ve set myself a challenge for this year which is to try and ACR 100 aax points so I’ll keep you informed how I’m getting along over the course of this year so I’ve just got on the kn and Corby kers very popular in the back packing it’s actually right for once yeah I wasn’t quite sure where it crept into Woodland enough well not long ago past my most Sly point on this uh 200 km odax and I’ve just seen on the horizon the site of the radio mast at walam on the Ws so that means coming into leester and wman and windmill not too far away from here [Music] now [Music] [Music] oh so not far now from the village of Tay just going through a series of ESP Ben if you live in Oak you’ll know the ESP spens I’m referring to much better in a Sly Direction back towards [Music] [Music] oakam [Music] so that’s it arrived at w windmill wondom windmill I’m not sure which way it’s pronounced and I was going to show you my bike so this is what I’ve been riding today it’s the uh rally supermatic quite an old bike just jesting so yeah I’m on the road bike today this my uh cleb titanium road bike from suer bikes over in harage got that in March 20 20 like a couple days before lockdown arrived in the nick of time so got absolute black chain rings I can’t remember the configuration now but it’s their smallest one they do or they did at the time anyway we’ve got tailin top Sho bag in there I think this is a tow Peak One S bag yes it is lots of bits and Bobs in there uh some a bars which I do need to space out a little bit more cuz my arms are quite straight my arms are coming in in a little bit so uh need to sort out uh and I got some clothes on there to waterproof and as you as well to keep me either dry and warm probably be putting those on a little bit later on so that’s uh my bike I’ve been riding [Music] today on the move again I’m heading left down the mirror [Music] anyway so I’m heading this way towards that rain cloud looks like it’s Ching it down as well and some more over that way that’s the way I’m heading hopefully it won’t catch it up yeah so ultimately we heading that way up to the mast at the wal from on the world and uh where else I made after that um towards [Music] [Music] gram bet you’re loving this rain aren’t you rain jacket Tim had a off game wet so flinging off your rain jacket cuz it’s just uh not stopping just yet there was not raining in the forecast [Music] [Music] today [Music] so right now I’m heading towards Beaver Castle just going get around the edge of it and then it’s up the climb at Denton if you know that one around here you surely will the radio jacket off again it barely rained just stopped at the view beava Castle um and said one going to do terms of clothing I’m going to put the Gile on after the next three climbs of this cuz all is a quick succession and uh I think well I know I don’t want to overheat going up those literally just going to get to the other side of gr firm and then I can uh my Jill back on again no my look it will start raining before I uh get the other side grab him [Music] [Music] [Music] must remember it’s uh coming toward the end of uh opportunities to film looks really bright on the screen but I can show you it’s uh starting to dull now must have gone half four sun sets at 5 to 5 I know what’s coming up in a little while the next control point which have stuck in and I’m probably not going to uh actually stop there now it’s uh it’s called the new Chapel it’s a church convert Church got a restaurant and Cafe inside it in the uh little town or Village of Gres it’s 25 5 and it’s still light in ish ish no lights so on and I think it’s that it’s that awkward dusk now and there it is a new Chapel right in front of us you see there’s a few cars in there a congregation or what I don’t know but uh I I’m not going inside to have a look even if I think I need a drink keep on moving and was watching a video with Paul Green on the other day he went out riding with is it Ian and another lad and that building there looks like it’s off The Adams Family with good reason it looks like The Adams Family cuz it’s a Well actually he’s tearing down used to be a mentor Asylum or something have to come here again
