How far are you prepared to cycle for a Belgium beer a Belgium waffle and Belgium frites? As it turns out – too far!
Although we planned to park near Ghent to have a look around, the rainy weather gave us another idea. Cycle the 35km along the canal between Bruges and Ghent and reward ourselves with the quintessential Belgian treats. Things didn’t quite go as planned though!

Mental notes to self: Ghent for waffles not Bruges (being reading lots of posts about stale, reheated waffles in Bruges 😖 I'm guessing cos it's now on the cruise route).
