I'm new to bikes so I'm looking for honest advice. It's listed on FB marketplace for $300. He said he's giving me a set of new tires (they don't look new?) and a lock. Serial number wasn't found on any stolen DB. It looks like a Specialized Sirrus 2? Is this bike worth buying? TIA!

That looks like a 2019-ish Specialized Sirrus 2.0? If I remember correctly those retailed for ~$700. Obviously, without actually having my hands on it I can’t say for sure but it looks like it’s in great shape. I’d say that for $300 it’s an excellent deal and will carry you around reliably for years to come, as long as you keep the tires inflated and the chain lubed!
Seems reasonable. It’s a very good bike for commuting.
Definitely worth it if everything works. Seems a little low, I hope it isn’t stolen.
with prices like these, the details as always are in the fine print. If the bike needs no major upgrades, if all parts are serviced well and are running fine, 300 is a brilliant deal.

I used to have the 2013 edition and it was a great commuter bike. They hold their value well (managed to sell it in 2018 for about 300$) provided they aren’t damaged and this one looks to be in great condition! Go for it imo.
If it fits you, do it! If everything works as it should, do it!
Honestly, it’s not a bad price at all.
For commuting and the odd weekend rip, you really can’t go wrong with it.
I say, grab it and go givver.

If its in a good shape ,and judging by the pics it is its a good buy.
As a former owner of Sirrus it’s really a great bike ,comfortable, durable, sturdy and you can mount cargo rack or mudguards on it ,if needed.
I’ve sold mine ,it was also alloy but with carbon fork ,for 350€ at the beginning of the year so i would say that’s a fair price.
