Hi all,
I just bought a Canyon Endurance CF 8 Di2 and want to use it on my turbo trainer, however I don’t know how to make it compatible as the through axle is different to my old bike.
The difference being it doesn’t actually go through both sides of the frame which means I can’t clamp it into the other side of the turbo (sorry poor explanation I know).
I’ve included a picture of the trainer I’m using.
Wondering if anyone could help please?
Thanks!

The axle is covered by what is essentially plastic stickers (see here for what they look like https://www.canyon.com/en-us/gear/components/spare-and-wear-parts/spare-wear-parts/canyon-gp0321-01-dropout-cover/10006343.html).
They can be taken off but you would need to find a trainer thru-axle so you can clip it in properly. Robert Axle Project is one place to find these. (https://robertaxleproject.com/wind-trainer/)
That said, I believe Canyon only “permits” using direct drive wheel off trainers for Thru Axle bikes. This is outlined in the FAQ here: https://www.canyon.com/en-us/support-articles/how-to-use-canyon-bikes-in-turbo-trainer.html
Could be a warranty issue for you if the wheel on trainer causes damage.
