Putting new tire on my wheelchair and I ordered same diameter but slightly wider maxxis tires and theres snow way they'd fit on the rim am I supposed to order a different tire size?
Look for the ISO size. It gives you bead seat diameter which is what matters.
The inch sizes are horrible, they are approximate outside diameter which can be anything. There are inch sizes with different bead seat diameters (e.g. 24″ can be 540mm BSD or 507mm) and vice versa (e.g. 28″ and 29″ both have 622mm BSD).

Old one looks like incorrectly labeled 26.
Look closely on the sidewall of the old tire for the ISO That’s the most important number. Also, does the rim say anything?
