  1. In my experience, the top part is not the part that wears out. The bottom ledge is what goes. Looks like yours is pretty chewed up, which might cause undesired releases. Probably worth replacing.

i wouldnt replace them yet, the yellow is just “grips” for walking (though they dont really do much), they dont factor in in the clip in function. as long as your not pulling out of the pedals unintentionally they I would keep using them

  3. Looks pretty close to wearing out the way that the plastic is staying bent. Would buy the replacement cleats now but I would probably wear it out fully before I replaced

  4. Depends on what the parts that actually contact the pedal look like. I’d probably trim the yellow scrap off and keep riding if there is enough meat on that bone.

  5. I’ve used cleats that were more worn than this. If you can snap in and stay snapped in, I don’t see any issues.

I’d say you still have months left, depending on how often you ride.

Cleats will still hold pretty good. Those look half worn out, if you consider that they can be twice as worn and probably still hold. I usually use mine until the yellow is gone from the bottom corners

  7. I would change it for sure. Even if it still works. But I usually err on the side of caution..

I had to dismount on a 12% grade the other day because I just didn’t have it in me. My cleats look like yours and I had no traction when I put my foot on the ground and took a fall lmao
