  1. Interesting. This is an ad for their stand at Earls Court Motor Show, which in the 1950s had absorbed the London bike expo.

  2. What a time when companies marketed logical bikes to regular people even if they’re road riding and want a performance oriented bike. Fenders, clearance for wider tires, bags for long rides. For decades now if you’re a road cyclist the entire industry tries to persuade you that you need to wear a lycra jumpsuit and to chase minute performance gains with a race bike. Hybrids are great, but they’re sure as hell not a sport tourer.
