Kolkata: The Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Kolkata held the 2024 Spring Festival reception and the farewell reception for Consul General Zha Liyou and his wife Madam Zheng Huiqun on January 29.Zha Liyou, the Consul General of China in Kolkata said, “I feel very excited about the five years I spent in India, especially in East India. I feel satisfied because I have worked with friends in the communities, states, centre and the local. We have accomplished, given the times of certain uncertainties and difficulties, some very good things, especially regarding business connections…I want to take this opportunity to thank my friends in the government, politics, bureaucracies, business and education, for their support to my office…This is a great country. I wish all my friends a very successful 2024.”

[Music] I feel uh very excited um about the five five years I spend in India especially in East India I feel satisfied because um I have worked with friends in the communities from States you know from Center and um and local uh we have accomplished given the times of certain uncertainties and difficulties we in East India we have achieved some um very good things especially regarding the uh the business connections and um because my portfolio is mostly on uh East India with the CH with Chinese provinces and locals so I I feel satisfied and also I want to take this opportunity to thank my friends in the government in the politics in Bure bureaucracies in business in education for their support to my office so that I can perform my duty successfully so upon leaving this country this great country I wish all my friends a very suc successful [Music] 2024
