Utrecht Netherlands the Dutch city with more bikes than people 🇳🇱

In the Netherlands the bike culture is one of the first things tourist will notice when arriving in the country. Today we are going to explore Utrecht Netherlands by bicycle and see how that can be. The reason I chose Utrecht is because well, it has the worlds biggest bike rack. That is a title that only the Netherlands can hold since everyone loves riding bike around the country.

There’s many benefits to riding a bike such as it’s more ecological to the environment which must mean the air quality in Dutch cities must be good. You also get exercise and get to experience what being a kid is like again without having to become those hard core bike riders with their Lance Armstrong sportswear.

Anyway I invite you guys to explore the city of Utrecht with me on this bike journey across the Dutch city.

welcome to the netherlands that is a stoplight for bicycles today we’re gonna explore the city of utrecht the old-fashioned way on a bicycle this is a country with more bikes than people so let’s check it out check it out guys this is the world’s biggest bike rack 3000 13 000 bikes fit in here and there’s multiple ford look there’s a bottom floor there’s an upper floor this is just to park bikes guys it’s serious here in the netherlands oh well it’s like a mall it just continues it goes on and on and on well what an amazing vlog so far guys we’ve seen the world’s biggest bike rack let’s walk through here and see all the different bikes we have an uber each bike this person has like bags on the side to carry stuff some of them have baskets flowers you know this is the only country in the world that has more bikes than people imagine playing hide and seek here [Music] hello mr kitty hello let’s see if we can sneak up behind sulfonator well did it get too far mayonnaise on the side thank you so much all right street food let’s try out the fries guys the fries from the netherlands and utrecht at the mankind piece it’s very hot so here in utrecht we have a family of geese that patrol these waters and we have found the resting there let’s get closer they have a chick but the chick they haven’t covered up right now they’re all eyeing me up these gooses are very territorial little birds aren’t they check it out guys we have found the baby the baby’s that little thing in between the four geese right here and look how they protect it they make a field around him it’s like spartans and they’re protecting leonidas in the middle there this is what it’s like to ride the bikes through the netherlands it’s about to be eight o’clock pretty soon not many people the streets kind of die out at this time right now i feel like in the movie e.t when they were going on a bike that’s exactly what i feel like right now sophie’s holding e.t where’s e.t do you have a tea yes the weather netherland all right after the bus we all go life coming out okay oh you can just go check out these homes right here the rooster made out of straw with huge windows typical dutch way we have reached this part here with this interesting looking building but bikes cannot go further they only have stairs and it’s a dead end up ahead so we got the bike rack over here this is the netherlands this is something you can ride your bike literally anywhere around the city helmets not required this is the current parking situation so just grab your bike and park it here on the side with these ropes you time around the bike and then you’re if you have a partner you can tie your bike to their bike via another rope and then you’re all locked and loaded and ready to go and everybody else here just parks their bikes everywhere man just bikes and bikes everywhere i’m in this restaurant here and they make the best burgers in town we’re gonna put that to the test [Music] okay [Music] [Music] okay [Music] [Music] guys number one in town mozzarella de buffalo the patty a grilled pepper some type of like mint sauce on top or pesto actually that’s a pesto tomato on the bottom lettuce and home fries so all the drinks here come in bottles and you just place them here at the end and then the garbage goes right in there you come down here in the afternoon most of the restaurants are closed but you can still sit on the tables you can just watch all the boats pass by you get ducks and sometimes you get these crazy geese here that they just wanna fight all the time versus the smaller ducks there’s a rabbit at the stoplight here’s a truck for war room from indonesia that means an indonesian restaurant there’s a lot of indonesians here since the colonization days check it out guys dessert a bubble waffle with oreo kinder chocolate and vanilla ice cream and that’s officer went in with the raspberry oreo chocolate kinder oh strawberry ice cream alright let me show you guys the bus stops in the netherlands they they plant little flowers and plants there to attract some bees over to come and pollinate and make a home for the bees by giving them food they’re able to build more homes and become stronger i can’t request that you rent a bike and just ride around the city because it makes all the difference such as this spot is way outside of the city but it’s just a nice little spot to hang out chill catch a little bit of the sunset some more boats and a huge canal check this out guys this is a small bridge here to for the people to cross but they’re about to open it up for some boats to get through the young man over there spinning the wheel oh sorry oh i almost got murdered in action yep oh this stick right here it’s going to take a lot more than that oh there they go so he turns it looks like a video game oh once you guys are going it just moves then the other dude over there opens the floodgates no they both do where’s the boat this one oh this guy right here waiting yeah i guess we’re waiting for that dude over there and the boat passes and now they gotta reopen the bridge again
