I made a leather bag for Brompton!

I always enjoy things that are good quality and long lasting. Brompton has attracted me with its unique and yet timeless design. I am glad to own a beautiful racing green and have joined this community since last year. The bicycle is so good-looking and well engineered, I'd love to keep them for life. On the other hand, being a leathercraft enthusiast, I appreciate well-made leather goods with classic styles. The well-maintained leathergoods are like they can speak for themselves of how well they were lived.

I wanted to make a bag that has the same longevity as the Brompton, while at the same time matching the Brompton's classic look when the bag is hooked on at the front. Since I lived in city it should also looks good enough that I can carry it easily with my other daily outfits.

This project took me quite a few months from start to finish: measurements, sourcing the hardware, making samples, finding leathers that matches the bag style, hand-cutting the leather pieces, ensembling and hand-stitching the whole bag. To me, the whole process is very enjoyable. I do have other ideas already and will definitely make more accessories for Brompton in the future. With good maintenance, I am sure they will be my lifelong companion.
