I always ride into the wind so I have a more enjoyable cruise on the way back home. Where did you ride this weekend and how was your weather? Southern Indiana USA Mid 70’s Sunny and windy (lots of gust)
My normal twenty two mile route both days. But today I cut it short on account of my first flat of the year.

Fantastically cool weather in northern Colorado. Yesterday I my PR on the local big climb by about 90sec. Today the trails were pretty empty and I got a bunch of repeats in on my favorite MTB climb.
Left just before sunrise to go up a hill, down a hill, around some scenery and back home for a zoom meeting. New cyclist and my first time descending 40+ mph, fun.
A nice out-and-back on a paved trail Friday, and a big loop around the nearest city today. About 60 miles total this weekend, sort of by accident but I brought extra water and some snacks and successfully avoided the bonk.

No rides for me, as I’m a month post-adrenalectomy tomorrow. But, I did manage to carry my road bike down two flights of stairs, onto the rack, and to my LBS for a little clean, tune-up, and snazzy bar wrap! Hopefully, pick up after work Thursday and do my first easy ride since surgery on Friday or Saturday!

I rode to the gym yesterday.
There was a closed road event today to get everyone out and riding today. So I did that one. (https://www.vivacallesj.org/)

Just rode 40+ miles along the coast. Beautiful day to be alive!
I left at 645 it was 75 degrees out and stupid humid, took a trip up a road to the top of a hill; a route I don’t take except on Sunday mornings. Came back, went on a regional trail for a bit.
I got into a collision with a pedestrian who was oblivious to the world with her face in her phone, and I barely got stopped and unclipped as I collided into her shoulder first. She scurried away and I dint realize til hours later that she had sliced my arm with her fingernails.
My shoulder was pretty sore, so I’m pretty certain she’s probably feeling something.

Went to buy an office chair from an FB Marketplace seller, stopped at the farmers market on the way home. 25 miles into downtown Richmond VA and back, gotta love cargo bikes

On Saturday, I did a fairly hilly 55-mile ride (3,400 ft EG) with a local group around residential streeets in my home city in Arizona. Started riding at 5am to beat the heat.
Today (Sunday), I rode solo on our local mountain, between altitudes of 2,800ft and 8,200ft. Total elevation gain of 6,500 ft in my 53-mile ride. It’s great to have cooler higher altitudes to head for in summer.
(Tomorrow, I plan to join a flatter 30-mile recovery ride along shared-use riverside paths with friends.)
At my current age of 68, I hope for many more years of riding bikes.

Today I did my biggest ride of the year so far: 103 km (60 miles) in Vancouver, BC at age 61. The weather was perfect sunny but often windy and not hot.

Here in Quebec, I would have gone outdoors, but I’ve ridden indoors the entire weekend since it rained a bit too much for my liking.

I went to White Clay in Delaware, I’d heard local riders talk about it, and my area is really flat and sandy. I wanted to get more elevation and a little rocky trail time in. I got what I was looking for. All blue trails, so I can work on my skills.
