  1. Yes. You take off the plate holding the two jockey wheels together. Take a photo before you remove it. It’s kind of confusing getting the direction correct on reassembly. Beware of small parts (bushings) etc flying out of the wheel assemblies.

    Ummm yeah …. Take out the bolt on the lower pulley, shift the cage like a pair of scissors, reroute the chain, put the lower pulley back in… make sure both upper and lower pulley bolts are tight as the upper will loosen slightly when you move the inner and outer plates of the cage.

    Doh, yeah that’s an option. More complicated than breaking the chain and installing a quick link imo
