I took a different route home today and found a huge surprise: The first bike lane that I’ve ever seen with my own eyes! I couldn’t believe it. I’m still scratching my head how this happened.
Could there be hope for Texas after all?
It only goes down this little stretch of road and comes to a sudden end… but it’s a start.

The most astonishing things I see are the portable concrete curbs in place. A lot of “bike lanes” are just gutter paint. This actually puts in something that actively discourages cars from encroaching on the lane.
