One of the links is probably stuck and it has problems with going through pulleys and cassette. Find the stiff one and try to loosen it up. I had a lot longer chain than I needed so I just removed one and problem is gone.

  2. It might be a rear derailleur adjustment issue. When it’s almost in position to change gears, try adjusting it to both sides and see which settings work better

Does it happen in all cogs and every few pedal strokes? If so, its probably a chain issue. Check for a stuck link.

Does it happen in one cog and all the time. It’s probably a cassette issue. Check for a bent tooth or a bad set of bearings that is making the cassette not rotate in a round manner.

Does it happen intermittently, look at your RDR.
