In Part 1 we leave my home in Oslo and head to the world-famous Lofoten Islands. It took a total of 25 days. Heading to Stavanger first and then traveling up the unbelievably beautiful West Coast. This video is only a montage, a taster of this incredible journey. More detailed and informative videos of the journey will be posted in the coming weeks. So if you enjoy, subscribe!

Yeah! Great ride!
Awesome adventure, beautiful video, congrats mate!
I wish I could afford to go there 😥.
Loved your video. ♥️
Great job! Regards form Poland! 🙂
what a trip! been wanting to do the same (except starting from Germany) for a while and your video literally just made me sit up from the couch and write you a 'well done'!
So you DO get flats, phew! Almost thought you were doing some kind of sorcery.
Wow! Love it! – Planning something similar for this summer. Starting point Stavanger ending in Tromsö. But one of my biggest fears are those tunnels along the way. Scary stuff to bike through those. – But seeing that you made it might just mean that it is possible for me also.
Do you bring a bike lock? Ever scared of someone nibbing the bike when you're in the tent?
Ist it a Rosé Bike (Gravel)?
Will be doing Oslo – Bergen with my Grail as soon as the country opens for vaccinated tourists (mid July for me then). If anyone wants to join for the ride.
How do you get your bike around when starting a new adventure. Assume you fly, however that can be a tough journey for a bike.
oh nice to see Lysebotn 🙂 went tru there on my last bikepacking trip (Stavanger-Kristiansand) sadly I went up the 24 turns was a fun day 🙂 this year im going from Bergen to Larvik on my bike here next month and I cant wait
Hey Matthew, I was wondering how the fresh water supply is in Norway since I am planning a similar trip next year but with wild camping instead.
Wife and I planning for cycling Norway next July… one key question for us is, can we just camp anywhere or has to be in camp sites only? (assuming there are enough along the way)
Thank you for these videos & all the info on ferries & routes Matthew. My wife & I are heading over this summer,
& you have made so many of our decisions 'invalid'. lol We will try to stay away from tunnels as much as possible.
I'm appreciating your facebook page also for extra info. cheers.
Hands down the most beautiful cycling country I've seen… except for the tunnels.
hey! I was considering going cycling in Norway and I was wondering how did you find your bike and gear? how much did it cost you? thank you and hands down for the vid!! 🙂
It looks like you've taken much of the trip I'd like to do, Oslo to Trondheim to Lofoten, then to Nordkapp before going to Oulu and ultimately to Helsinki. However, the big trip would start in Berlin (or other German city), north to Rostok, then Copenhagen, Malmo, Stockholm, diagonal to Gothenburg, then to Oslo. From Helsinki, to Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and back to the beginning. OR … make my way southwest to the south of Portugal for a vacation.
Do you have a list of the places you stopped at/stayed over in? My partner and I are looking to do something similar this summer (bt opposite way) from Lofoten downwards towards Oslo. Woul dlove to see hte make/route you took!
Amazing! This deserve a million views🙌😍
Amazing. What a country. This is on my radar now!!
what's the name of last song? Great video
Great video, good humour too. You are one of the few youtubers who points the camera in the right direction.
The majority barely remove the camera from themselves. Even when they are in some of the world’s most beautiful scenery all I can see them. Even if they are beautiful it’s still tedious.
Thanks.
I was thinking about a bicycle trip in Scandinavia … I think you convinced me 😅
Nuorena jullina ajelin itekin Norjan päästä päähän polkupyörällä. Hieno maa.
Kiitos!
thanks
I guess you also had some rainy days. Or you were extremely lucky.
