


Hope this post is ok! I just wanted to share that 6 months ago I started commuting by bike for fun and to help with being stuck inside during winter.
Fast forward 6 months and I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in as an adult and cycling has helped me cut out drinking at home as it’s a new outlet for my stress rather than booze. I didn’t intend to lose weight it just sort of happened. As I noticed this change it also encouraged me to lay off the booze at home and try stop over eating as much. I still eat chocolate on the daily and enjoy a PB+J on toast but cycling to work really helps me burn that stuff off and I actually think it’s helped my metabolism a lot!
I was so scared when I started riding to work of the cars and weather and people seeing me look all flustered but I feel like it’s changed my life. I know a lot of people in this group are already commuters but if not I can’t recommend it enough!!! You owe it to yourself to have a go and you’ll love it!
( I do work an active job and walk a bunch too at work and for leisure too so that helps)
