Helloooo, I'm new to the biking community
Bought a SH bike and the left pedal fell off
I can't screw it back in
The thread of the pedal looks damaged, should I change the pedal?
[That’s not very typical](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3m5qxZm_JqM). The threads on your pedal are gone so you will have to replace that. I’m quite worried about your crank arm though.
simplejackbikes on
New pedal and probably new crank arm too
-EETS- on
Had a similar problem recently. I tightened my pedals too much when I first bought them, and it must have messed up the threads a little. If I had left them, they might have lasted a while (they felt perfectly fine), but when I removed the pedals just last week I noticed that the last few threads were fucked. I put my new pedals on, hoping that the 80% good threads would hold, but they didn’t.

Within a day the pedal was fucked. If I were you I’d buy a crank set now before this happens. Or even just the one if it’s the only damaged crank
New Krankenpedal!
