You should definitely look at facebook marketplace and buy another one. You’ll love the hunt and the refurbishing.

Oh Wow. I have a nearly identical 1987 Peugeot. All original tires and parts. It doesn’t have the white grip tape (they were originally sold without it). Would you be interested?

I brought home a pride and joy from Berlin in 1974, a Gitane with 531 main tubes and a nice set of components (with the exception of the ratty plastic rear derailleur that I soon replaced). In the early eighties I was doing a lot of club rides with it, until one day the seat tube snapped off a few inches above the bottom bracket… made me sick.

Got one of these in my living room! Love the chain ring.

There is that bike frame for sale at an estate sale. Just the frame. Make me wonder whatever happened to its components?

Cause sometimes we do stupid things for stupid reasons to only realize we were being stupid after we did the stupid.
It’s a beautiful bike, if you take the others suggestions good luck on the hunt

Fixed up a late ’70’s “Iseran” that is very near to this model. Carbolite frame (reg. steel) I switched to 700C wheels. Brake reach was no problem. The 700C give better selection and more room for wider tires. The turkey wings and stem shifters are late 70’s. One thing, they are smooth driving with the relaxed geometry. Cruise all day long is the name of the game. That looks like an AE-8.
