  1. Saved this bicycle from the trash and recently restored it. I don’t know the brand of the bike or the year it was made.

Attached is a photo of the serial number. Nothing comes up when I punch it into Google.

The sticker on the front and frame both say “Top Rider” and Japan. I’ve looked up Top Rider as a bike brand and nothing. Same with looking through Japanese bike brands. No luck.

  2. no luck with the serial because nobody bothered to catalog these old department store bikes. theyre really bad quality and usually belong in the trash. hate to sound harsh but hoping to save yoh from spending any money on it

  3. I completely disagree with the previous responses.

A “cheap” 1970’s bike boom 10 speed can function as a ride around town just fine.

Sure it’s heavy, sure it’s not valuable, sure most people don’t value it’s existence but if you are willing to do the work yourself it could be very satisfying to tear it down and build it up however you like.

Walmart bikes truly are terrible and won’t hold up for years. This type of low end bike does.

I would take it apart, clean it up, update the consumables (tires, cables, brake pads, chain), repack bearings and enjoy the ride.

    Just my two cents.
