The city removed my sidewalk panels this week and will pour new ones (yay!). However, I didn't move my car out of my garage ahead of time. So, after they removed the sidewalk panel in front of my driveway, I have been unable to back out of my garage with my car.

Instead, I've been bike commuting for everything. And it's been great! This really has been an real life experience of, could we live without our car? And the answer is, yes! I don't know if I'm quite ready to give up my car yet (we have two senior dogs that need care, one of whom is 75+ pounds), but I'm definitely considering it more.

Don’t beat yourself up about still owning a car: even if you manage to bike for every routine daily activity there’s always going to be some things that can’t be done on a bike, and there’s going to be days you can’t safely bike.
