Had this 105 mech for 6 months now, and it’s always had this play in it. I’ve never really managed to get the shifting dialled. Is this play “normal”? My other mechs seem much stiffer at this joint. Cheers!

No, that’s more than a normal amount of play. It almost looks like the body of the derailleur is separating a bit from the section of the mech that holds the mounting bolt but it’s hard to tell from the video and not being able to inspect it more closely. Have you tried simply tightening it?
On a separate note, has it been washed in the six months you’ve had it? For the love of all that is unholy your bike will thank you if you clean it every once in a while.
Way too much play and check for cracking in the derailleur body it looks like the bushing and body are loose from each other.
Definitely unusual but im guessing you’ll need a new derailleur.
could be something between the bolt and the derailer, take the bolt out completely and clean everything before you put it back?
