I’m getting somewhat desperate for a bike that’ll help me with some light commute (~15 mins each way) and maybe the occasional light trail if i ever get into that. Just want something reliable that’ll work and is comfortable.
Budget ~1000 CAD
None of these seem like decent deals to me though i have no experience with bikes so any help is appreciated 🙂
1. SPECIALIZED ALLEZ — Size Large $580
2. Scott Mountain Bike – Mens – 8 Speed (Not sure what model this is either) $650
3. Giant Mountain bike STP 24 inch rim $650
4. 2017 Jake the snake CX 54cm (Med) $1250
5. Rocky Mountain Fusion 40 mountain bike, 29’er. Size Medium $1100
Selling a excellent condition Rocky Mountain Fusion 40 mountain bike, size Medium (2021). Has 29″ wheels, upgraded one-up pedals, upgraded ODI grips and upgraded WTB seat. All other components are stock (rock shock Judy forks, SRAM derailleur and cranks, Shimano hydraulic brakes etc).
If none of these are even remotely good deals, I guess i’ll have to hit up the local shop and see whats there 🙁 Thanks guys

For a commute a road bike will be the best, preferably the specialised, it’s a roadie through and through, with good value, an mtb would end up being heavy and you’ll feel it after some time
