Ripley Af, about a month old, Deore spec.
First 2 weeks were great, handled technical ascents and descents amazingly, shifted smooth, etc.
Then randomly it was having a weird skip, and took it to my shop. Realigned, easy peasy.
Then it happened again the next 2 times I rode, both times took it back to shop and got it taken care of.
Then it happened once more and they replaced the b tension plate because it was faulty.
That was last week, took it to local bike park this morning after not riding over the weekend, didn’t hit any big jump lines, just the tech flow trails and some small jumps, skinnies, pump track.
After about an hour and a half it started skipping again, jumping back and forth between gears.
Now, I can of course get the tool, but should I have to adjust my derailleur this often? I’m getting pretty frustrated as I don’t feel confident taking this up a mountain thinking my gears are gonna start fucking up 7 miles in or something.
What should I do?
I have to adjust my derailleur after every ride..

On new bikes the cables stretch a bit so that could be part of it.
Also, on 12 speed stuff, b screw adjustment is critical make sure that is good.
Lastly, you may have a bent hanger. If you can’t get it working that is almost always the problem.
I’ve had a few derailleurs where the b screw would work itself loose, a bit of thread locker (non permanent type) solved the issue in my case.
I had similar issue. In full suspension bikes the length of cable matters. If it is too short it could pull the wire and cable end pops out from its holder.
Also check the derailleur hanger bolt, if it’s loose it plays hell on adjustment.
