Hey everyone!

I got to test two Grails in a parking lot today: an L and an XL.

The shop guy said, "Definitely the XL. Your knees are almost hitting your elbows on the L."

I took some photos and was hoping I could get more advice from experts before pulling the trigger. The pics aren't great, but perhaps something I don't see stands out to you.

I am 192 cm with an 89 cm inseam, which puts me right in the middle.

I have an XL Grizl, and it was too long for me, so I put on a shorter stem.

I also wonder if a smaller size (L) is more fun and nimble.

Both Grails felt okay, to be honest. The XL felt more stretched out, and the L felt more compact.

Perhaps one of those characteristics is better for the type of bike?

Please share your thoughts. I need to decide today!

Thank you!

  1. I might add: the saddle was a bit too low on the L and I would raise it by 1cm to 2cm surely

Your inseam is short for your height

I have for example 195cm with 99cm inseam

    So your torso is long

Meaning the reach looks ok to slightly short on the XL and very short on the L
