I’ve been scouring Facebook marketplace hoping to find a good used mountain bike. I’m new to the hobby & so I’m unsure of what I’m looking at. I’m not looking to spend a lot because I don’t plan to do anything crazy. This person is selling this Cannondale Jekyll 600 all-mountain full suspension bike for $315. I’m pretty sure it’s a 20 year old bike. And while age doesn’t bother me, the price seems high. There’s no info on the bike other than it’s a size medium frame.
Any help would be appreciated! I don’t want to get taken advantage of.

Work them down to $300, then get a shorter stem and flip that seatpost around so you can have something close to useable geometry.
What are you planning to ride with this thing? I got a 2009 Cannondale full suspension and regret that purchase. Granted I paid a lot more than $300. Old cannondales have odd sized everything so finding parts is very difficult and older mountain bikes are not nearly as good as new ones for many many reasons. If you plan to ride some gnarly down hill I’d definitely a kid this bike. If your just gonna pedal around some local mostly flat trails than it may be worth it.
In about 2017 the mountain bike geometry got way better so if you want something long term and plan to hit some gnarly stuff I would not go older than 2017 and I’d read many reviews before pulling the trigger.
If you only have 300 dollars to spend there is ZERO reason to buy a full-suspension bike, especially one that is more than a decade old.
No matter the price you won’t enjoy riding on this thing
I’d be scared to maintain suspension that old, finding replacement seals sounds miserable.
