how are you all doing emry 99 here and welcome to a new video on our hands is the newest Tour of France 2024 game that will be released 6th of June Tuesday and today we will look at the new features such as gravel roads new multiplayer mode and new ways to play the game all right first thing visible in the menu is the club tour and here we have three challenges one of them is the race challenge where you play a race with a predefined team uh such as wisma Le a bike here in the tour to France and basically try to do the best as you can we have a leaderboard and accumulating as many as points as possible and you will have a place in the monthly or the weekly leaderboard then we have the downhill challenge uh which is pretty self-explanatory that you try to go as fast as you can in a selected downhill is genuinely a fun game mode but it was there before it’s nothing that was new uh I’ve tried myself a run and it was 1 minute 37 and the leader was 1 minute 24 it just in 8 km so you can see how much you can actually improve uh you know trying that mode out I’ll definitely uh recommend that one but now let’s talk about the more exciting mode of this game the new Criterion mode because the downhill mode it’s been there already before on the other games but the Criterium new is Criterium mode is totally new so it’s a multiplayer mode where up to six players can play online together and you will be racing in teams of two and they’re also preset so there’s a flat team there’s a hill team there’s a mountain team and there’s a verstile team there are quite a lot of customization options on which Rider you want uh for example I come to Vima lab and I see VA fart is locked but keep in mind that the Riders also have a predefined stat so I select L fromell and it will have the same stat as if I select tbut so it’s just for uh basically riding with the Riders you like and you enjoy therefore it allows a competitive field where everyone will have the same stats and you know that in tdf or in PCM the stats are very key so it’s basically who gets the strategy right and who will be able to place that attack or the acceleration uh in the most correct place but again there’s also Legends team available with quite a lot of Legends over the past 30 40 years but it’s just for display really the the stats don’t change so we can pick tooot or Borman or V vgin and the stat will be same so now we’ve done our customization time to play so I click play so you’ll be waiting in the queue here I mean honestly since it’s a pre-release I don’t think I’ll be having any any online players at the moment okay so what happens is though there’s no online players available but you can still play play and you play against AI so uh these are five different teams that are uh racing but not online users so when you play with friends as well if for example four users are online you’ll play with them and two of them will be AI teams as you can see we have a pelaton of just 12 Riders and when you click o or um B in Xbox controller you can tell what the other guy to do so my teammate is Rubio and I can tell him to attack for example I don’t know how we do that but yeah we can do that oh yeah you have to go attack and then confirm it and he’ll tell it on the radio or just scream backwards which is maybe a better idea and as you can see Rubio will launch his attack well maybe I don’t want to do that and I don’t want to just play with greguar and sit here you can just go and change Rider and it’ll automatically go to Rubio where we can place our attack other things to note as you can see we already have 25 km to go so the stage are not played in full uh but it puts you in a scenario over a real stage where you have 30 to 40 km to go uh since it’s online you cannot speed it up so you have to play this in times one the whole way uh but it’s just interesting strategy uh as we have a rider with a as we have a a hill Rider which is greguar and a climber which is Rubio so it’s basically up to you how you use this uh I believe especially if we have five or six online players there are a lot of attacks happening and there’s a lot of strategy of who’s going to be pulling at the front who’s going to be you know making the decisive move it’s really fun game but when you’re playing with AI as you can see not many things are happening so it’s best to just play it with your friends and hopefully this this game mode will be an active one uh so when we want to play when the game is released that we don’t have to face with AI because at the moment their tactics doesn’t look too interesting anyway we have a lot of features to talk about so I’m just going to leave the online mode there uh just leave this game cuz I don’t want to be wasting our time uh watching this race for 21 km but it’s basically across the Finish Line who goes first is the winner the last thing to note you can see on the on the top like there’s a jersey there’s some Riders interfaces so as much as you play you gain like XP points and with that XP points you unlock new jerseys New Riders but again uh these new Riders just for there for display so the stats are um set and when you’re playing a game everyone will have the same set of stats the Riders from the same attributes so it’s an even playing field okay back to the single player modes and we have the race and here I’m going to test the gravel roads and the gravel L stage because it is something new we’ve never seen it before both in PCM or in tour the France game so let’s try how it works so in order to play that stage alone and not start a whole tour to France you can always go to my tour and select the difficulty to the hardest one let’s continue and basically pick the the stage we want so here it is uh Troy to Troy so we’ll add that stage looking at other stages available we have the doin parin Euro tour open tour uh these are fictional races that basically um yeah like for example the Euro tour is like the Benelux tour the open tour is more like the oxitan tour and we also got three days of provance the classics which we have all five monuments and some World Championship variants as well which is pretty nice yeah we can customize the teams and everything but I’m just going to take Matthew funpool oh wait I took the team out okay don’t need to change the teams click next we go for Alp and toonic let’s change the starting lineup or we don’t really need to change Thunder poool and Philips and both there okay we are in game and the stage has started so we’ll just put a rider to the Breakaway just in case in this gravel stage of the tour to France so just making my way to the front of the p on to attack and we can see ev the pool here vingo here in present so we have a breakaway of seven Riders let’s try to join them there we go I mean just just the attacking feel is so nice in this game you know the the camera pans out a little bit you see see the slipstream the wind and yeah it’s just it’s just a nice feeling to play this game once in a while also next to next to procycling manager for those of you who are not familiar obviously you can always um fast forward the race as I’m doing right now so let’s just try to join the Breakaway and also like procycling manager you can give some other comments for example work with opponents when we’re in the Breakaway we obviously do that yeah so right now we’re in the shamans the first one Shaman the BL the gravel roads and we’ve had this display before but I think there’s a new sound of riding in them uh oh piss off the tutorials they’re getting me I I should have closed them before but since we’re in the Breakaway not much change and it’s the first one they’re riding hard behind let’s actually check behind what’s happening the okay now they’re entering the gravel sectors there’re still 150 km remember um there will be one point to be scored at the top so we’re looking at and R from the as soon as we entered there was a bit of a pace increase we’ve got team Vima lisab bike at the front we’ve got all the classic Specialists and the GC leaders in front as well see Lampard in there Jonathan Milan is here Evan aol’s here and as you can see there will be splits happening just in a moment as expected this gravel stage will be a very finding day for GC or at least the ASO hopes that way but um in game it’s implemented well that the the GC leaders are in front of the group so that they don’t positioned you know the guys that are positioned behind they are losing like minutes so that’s a good change now looking at the energy you can see of the energy of our riders in the pelaton they’re like even philipson and found pool are nearly halfway so it is in fact just like a cobble sector in the sense that it makes quite a lot of damage to your energy bar cred bre okay we are here in one of the longer sector Shan 3,700 M to go and now look we there’s a 34 Man Group I mean there’s not many attacks oh there’s the first attack actually that’s Tim Val going for the stage I think it’s too early to follow him still 55 km would right now we’re in front we’ll try going actually we’ll go try to follow team Val in front and there we make our attack on the gravel sector mat Thunder poool in the rainbow colored well not so rainbow colors but there we go we make our way to Tim Valance which is actually surprising that he attacked considering he has pogar behind who also attacks there it is Tad pogacha with an attack on the gravel sector with 54 km to go so pogach Char joins our group so that means team Valance is working for T pachar meanwhile the pelaton is about 45 seconds behind just there entering the seventh sector with 46 km to go okay team Valance is done now it’s Tad pogar and mat thunder poool in front of the pelaton we’re about to catch the Breakaway who we have a teammate in there we have K Anderson in there with quite a lot of energy actually meanwhile behind we have the group Evol which is the pelaton just 38 man left in the front of that but right now it’s all about working with Tad pogar for the stage win and T pachar himself tries to get some important seconds on the GC now we caught up to the Breakaway and T pogar is going full out at the moment we are being protected by K Anderson and also the Breakaway companions are able to hold this Pace on the flat 32 km to go but the the Gap is decreased to just 1 minute with the pelaton who still have 91 riders in it so uh pogach Char’s heroic attack might not be successful 23 km to go so we have a group of eight 45 seconds behind is the pelaton which have six Riders from I mean the Cobble stats are high we have rit in there Evan theol in there MZ Pon vagor in there gar Thomas is also here so it’s like a GC group then Ghana is behind but some Riders are left behind so we have a group of 24 here with Adam Yates we also have Almeida and Kung in this Kung group so it’s making some GC impact ji hindley is left here 2 minutes 13 behind I mean the gaps aren’t huge but there are a few riders that are struggling a teammate has has been dropped you can’t count on him any longer okay just 22 km he’s putting his foot on the pedal because he’s a danger to the overall standings right now it’s all about using K Anderson T pachar also doesn’t have many energy left thir the Gap is just down to 45 seconds and gine Thomas attacked in front of the pelaton think it might be a bug but we don’t see the energy of KR Anderson in the display right now so hopefully that’ll be fixed cuz normally we should be able to see next to the red arrow his energy so I have to pause it every time to look if he has energy left or not and yeah this is what happens when you don’t manage the rest of your team philipsen is Left Behind after the attack in front of the GC Riders and now we’re just stuck here with five or four teammates and philipo Gana 2 minutes behind okay we are on the penultimate sector and pogach and thunder pool group is about to be caught um you can see the Breakaway Riders who have reserved all that energy through the stage are still also in front of this in this front group just 12 Riders left in the pelaton group though and now philipsson is going to try to join them as well there we go as philipson we join the group now and let’s try to look from their perspective there’s a group of 13 Riders uh there’s vagor rogich Yan Milan so there are some attacks but not many domestiques left but surely just 25 seconds to go with one Shaman remaining they’ll be back soon yeah it seems that 50 km attack is going to an end fpol and Tad pachar are about to get caught we’ll just follow final gra final gravel road for the moment stage Victory is still undecided 12 seconds I think we got to go for an attack with philipson or I think we can win the Sprint I think just for the memes we can go for an attack with fpol cuz it’s the gravel sector there we go t pogar caught lacking and we’re going to go for it with 9 km to go we’re going to launch the attack 26 seconds to the group so D does the group have the energy to catch us back 8.4 km to go so it’s 40 seconds but our energy is really not there and it’s a 3 km sector as well yeah for example I’d like to see why there was no attack tr get oh there is now RKA p goes on the flat section with 6K to go meanwhile for us it’s all about energy conservation at 5 km from the Finishing Line the man to the front looks well set to win the gravel road stage watch out is trying to get away on a counter oh now vagor goes as well pogar group philipson group and now Evan theol and vagor behind us here with four kilom to [Applause] go think with 3 km to go we can try to increase the pace as it’s now 20 seconds to the Evol and vingo group it’s going to be real close with three kilm to [Applause] go let’s look behind 2 kilm to go now just trying to make sure that or blue bar is there yep 25 seconds it looks good now it looks good under the flam R we go and now we’re going to start sprinting you can do it and obviously conserve the Red Bar as well 30 seconds to go using that final bit of energy across the line and it will be a win for matu Thunder poool we do our bike throw as well what a win and let’s put on the acceleration with philipsson as well yeah vagor came second Evan AOL third and there’s a group of yeah Jonathan Milan fourth youan fifth with impressive impressive ride from him and we’re going to get sixed with also yasper philipson okay there we go that’s the result so pogar with the early attack lost 30 seconds to vagor and Evol who were actually more calm and cautious um looking behind M lost 2 minutes 37 finishing alone we have B and gal losing 3 minutes 29 Bernal losing 3 minutes 29 in this group Simon yay L 4 minutes so yeah a lot of time to be lost here on this stage okay next thing to talk about is the pro team mode which is basically some sort of create your own team uh mode but this year uh there’s a new change in here but here in the settings if you actually activate a real life Squad and pick continue and then you can play with the actual team so for example I go to Team the M I click continue and basically I have no budget limitation and I can make my team from the DSM Riders just get the best ones first and then uh yeah fill out a 15 Rider Squad from the real life uh Team DSM Riders and basically play your pro team with a team just like a career mode there we go we’ve picked our team we go to schedule and since DS is a world tour Team every race is open from the Geto which is pretty nice just the World Championships to be play it we need to be top 15 which is very doable but yeah that’s a new way to play the pro team the same thing also goes for pro leader mode which is the pro cyclist version of T the France game we have the Real Life Squad activated and then we click continue so for example I select Bor Hans grer I create my Rider and then when I click continue I basically start in the team of Bor Hans grer um and basically riding all the races here otherwise it’ll be too boring and do my Pro leader uh in a real team just from the GetGo so that’s pretty nice as well and finally we can look at the dev block to see if there’s stuff that I’ve missed so they’re talking about AI changes we’ve just seen the gravel stage it is it is quite unpredictable in my opinion a a pretty pretty fun stage uh that we’ve just played they’re also talking about on hilly stages teams aiming for victory can now try to send their stage leader into the breakway so yeah that’s a pretty good change that in the hilly stages in the ground tours especially uh it’s certain that it’s going to be a breakaway win so that teams can send more Riders to the Breakaway and uh also the riders that are targeting stage wins into the Breakaway that’ll be a good change but yeah that’ll be it from me for this video the tour to France 20124 launches in 6th of
