Was loving my new borough bag, got it brand new about 3 weeks ago, one of the snap closures has already broken and fallen off – is this a common failure point? The closure hardware themselves doesn't feel like they're made to last. I feel like this is not worth the hassle in terms of warranty process.
I'm wondering about just DIY installing some form of magnetic closures here instead.. has anyone done that?

For the price, I find the quality of Brompton branded bags lacking. Both side pockets on my borough bag tore within a month of me getting it. The thin mesh material reminded me of stockings.
Another annoying thing is that that Brompton does not have a explicit warranty policy on their bags.
I’ve had mine for about 3 years. No issues yet. Yeah I’d probably just DIY something if it’s not convenient to go to a Brompton Junction store.
I use tack style magnetic curtain closure for mine. The snap buttons are annoying anymore
