Got a late 80's early 90's Lotus R3000 with Suntour Blaze from my brother-in-law. Used it last summer as the Wee-Hoo puller. Enjoyed the downtube shifters, but needed more range and the frame color (albeit scratched like a 30+ year old frame) was calling for pink I. My opinion. A local bike store was closing after 45+ years due to retirement, and had the bunk wheels for all of $40 for the set. By the end of the summer, the original wheelset broke a couple spikes, so I used it as an excuse to completely rebuild it.
105 5700 crankset, SLX rear Derailleur, Gevenalle Shifters, cane Creek SCR-5 gum hoods, Eno friction shifters, Dia-Compe Gran-Compe white brake calipers, 32 Panaracer Gravelking tires, Brooks Natural C15 saddle, Serfas pink cloth tape.
Had a lot of fun…so much I almost want to sell it just so I can build another. Can't wait to get some time in on the new build now!

How’s the Cambium saddle?
I have a Brooks swallow, was wondering how the non-leather Brooks ride.
