Hi guys. It is my first entry ever in Reddit. I have a mtb and i am trying to learn how I fix it. There was as an issue about my bottom bracket. Do you think that the frame is damaged badly? The right side of the bottom bracket is dead i guess but i am not sure about the frame.

I’d take it to a bike shop and ask them to chase the threads. Should be good to fit new cups after that. (If the shop doesn’t know what that means, or says just put a new cup in them, find another shop.)
Hard to say for sure. If you can find a shop with a set of BB taps, or get some somehow, cleaning up the remaining thread with a tap and then trying to tq a new cup into it will probably be a good way to know. You could also use some loctite 222 to give those damaged threads all the help they can get.
I think the frame can be re-threaded rather easily. Cups are bold and brash though (hope someone gets that reference)

I have no experience with them so someone else will have to weigh in on whether they’re decent or not.
